USS VINDEX - NCC-2474-A

Welcome to the Vindex!

Welcome to the USS Vindex, a Sovereign-class starship which is a proud member of Bravo Fleet's Task Force 9.

Based in the area of space surrounding Deep Space 11 in the Idran Region of the Gamma Quadrant, the Vindex and her crew are now tasked with exploring the unknown space around the starbase we call home. It has been a rollercoaster ride for the Vindex's crew so far, but with The Consortium threat ended and peace finally returned to the Idran Region, we can be the explorers we signed up to be.

Come and join us on our new adventures as we seek to discover the unknown, visiting those strange new worlds, making new friends and forming new partnerships along our way across the Gamma Quadrant.

» The Vindex's One Year Anniversary

Posted on Wed May 31st, 2017 @ 4:05pm by Captain Claudia Ainscow in Sim Announcement

Hi everyone,

Today (May 31st) marks the first anniversary of the USS Vindex. Firstly I'd like to thank you all for all your hard work over the past year in which as a crew we've submitted 412 mission posts at the time of writing and are currently on our seventh mission together having started our second season a couple of weeks ago

A special mention from me goes to our Executive Officer (Nathan), Chief Engineering Officer (John), Chief Intelligence Officer (Matthew) and Marine Commanding Officer (Tyler) who have all been with the sim since the beginning. All four of you will be receiving a Silver Merit award shortly to recognise your time on the sim

However without all of you I wouldn't have been able to achieve my dream of running my own sim again and for that I thank you. It's been an honour and a privilege to lead this sim and I hope to do so for a long time to come

Here's to another twelve months - and hopefully many more

Thanks to you all once again

Best wishes,
James

It gives me great pleasure to announce that just under a year after the sim first launched we have completed our first full season with the conclusion of Unknown Territory. Season 1 saw us write no less than 393 mission posts over six missions - so well done guys. I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your contributions

Season 2 is now launched with the mission "Secrets" - the mission notes have been updated with more to come soon

Let's make it another great season!

All the best,
James

Hey guys,

I'm sorry they're a bit later than usual but the XO and I are pleased to announce the following winners for the two monthly sim awards for February 2017!

Player of the Month - February 2017

Lieutenant Tabetha Relton (Em): Despite having a baby recently Em has produced some wonderful writing and has remained ever present in an OOC aspect despite her character being written out

Post of the Month - February 2017

I'm Coming; by Lieutenant JG Annie Wilson (Em): Not only did the XO and I find this post extremely compelling but other players have also commended this post so we feel it was more than deserving of winning this award.

Congratulations to Em on her double award!

There will however be a change of format to these awards next month - stay tuned to find out!

All the best,
James
