Physical Description Anastasia has a svelte build, with her dark hair (when undone) reaching to the middle of her back. Anastasia considers her face, with all its Slavic features, as "adequately symmetrical." Her admirers consider her "tragically beautiful," since Anastasia seems forever unavailable.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Anastasia has a mild form of autism spectrum disorder, though she is considered "highly functioning." She comes off as distant, abrupt and socially awkward. She does become very attached to certain people and especially animals. In a stressful situation, she is unflappable
Strengths & Weaknesses Anastasia can often appear detached or rude, such as when she maintains eye contact too long, makes idiosyncratic motions when thinking, or when she seemingly ignores someone while she is digesting a problem (she has heard the person talk, but has prioritized the need for a response further down the 'queue'). Her interactions with others has gotten better, though, as she has given herself, with the help of her brother Roman, several "subroutines" to allow her to interact properly with others. Once she does establish a bond, however, she is intensely loyal. In a stressful situation, she is unflappable and fearless. When given a problem to solve, she will pursue it doggedly.
Ambitions To become a more complete person, though she is unsure what exactly that is.
Hobbies & Interests Has a clear, near perfect soprano voice, but rarely sings for anyone but her grandmother, her brother and her cat
Chess (all variations, both dimensional and special. She is considered a master in both two- and three-dimensional chess).
Rock climbing (the variations of holds in limestone and granite are topologically fascinating to her)
Ken Sei Kan Karate Do (Anastasia has been practicing this since an early age, to help her motor activities and reduce sterotypy
Cats, and especially Maine Coon cats
Sherlock Holmes, and especially Vasily Livanov's portrayal of the famous detective
Russian mythology and folklore
Nikolai Gogol
Sofia Kovalevskaya
Sergey Prokofiev
Strategema (grand master)

Personal History The youngest of the four children of retired Sergeant Major Sergei Bogolyubov and his "war bride" (Sergei rescue his future wife during a counterraid on a captured scientific outpost during the the Federation-Cardassian Wars), Anastasia's three older brothers would carry on the proud Bogolyubov tradition of providing Starfleet's Marine Corps with non-commissioned officers. Anastasia, though, had more of her mother's inclinations toward the sciences. She showed herself to be savant at an early age, and by the age of 22, had earned two doctorates from the Novosibirsk State University: one in Physical Mathematics, the other in Number Theory.

Despite her differences, Anastasia still had the love and support of her family, and especially her brother Roman, who served as her protector and conduit to the rest of the world. It is in part because of her brother that, instead of allowing herself to become insulated from the rest of the world by sinking into academia, Anastasia has decided to go out into the galaxy, and to expand herself as well as her knowledge.
