Personality & Traits

General Overview Kevran maintains a calm demeanor almost at all times. He rarely speaks of himself, but is social and charismatic with those he interacts with. He speaks with a tone near a whisper, but with strength and one does not have to strain to hear him. He is intellectually compelling, but with a distinct humility. The entire effect can come off as cold and distant.

Like all Vorta, Kevran possesses an unwavering belief and faith in his Gods, the Founders.
Strengths & Weaknesses Kevran has an exceptionally firm grasp of the sciences, in a multitude of disciplines and specializations, due in large part to several lifetimes of acquired skills and information. Because of this, he is an intellectual force to be reckoned with.
Though these traits are exceptionally useful and often unique, as a Vorta, Kevran has no real sense of aesthetics or much taste, and his eyesight is poor compared to Humans or most other humanoid beings.
Ambitions Kevran has a singular ambition that guides all of his actions: To serve the Founders. It is the primary tenant and code by which he lives.
Hobbies & Interests Kevran has a vested interest in the lifeforms that he keeps in a personal aquarium in his quarters.

Personal History Kevran was born on Cardassia V in 2376, one year after the end of the Federation-Dominion War. As the fifth of his line, he retained the memories and experiences of his various incarnations. Almost all previous clones were scientists, doctors, and engineers throughout their respective lifetimes, and the immediate predecessor was entirely devoted to researching the cure to the Founder's morphogenic virus.

Unlike nearly all other Vorta clones, he was not activated for a purpose. At the conclusion of the conflict, the facility activated him automatically upon it's power supply failing. After his waking, he found the "hatchery" abandoned and himself left to his own devices, as the Dominion had recently returned to the Gamma Quadrant. Following the only orders he could, Kevren stole a Cardassian shuttle and attempted to make his way to the Bajoran wormhole. This attempt, however, was unsuccessful and shortly after he was taken captive by the Cardassians.

Kevran spent three years in Cardassian custody, subject to interrogations and debriefings, before being traded to the Federation for diplomatic and intelligence purposes.
Service Record During his time with the Federation, it became clear to him that Starfleet planned to expand into the Gamma Quadrant. It was in response to this discovery that, in 2381, Kevran did something unprecedented within the ranks of the Vorta: Volunteered to serve Starfleet. He became convinced that while he and his people had failed to find a cure for the Founder's disease, Starfleet did, and they used it to save them when they could have let them die. In the light of the Treaty of Bajor, therefore, he decided that to aid those who cured the Founders was to serve the Founders themselves.

After much deliberation, it was decided that he would be allowed to serve as an observer on a probationary basis during the expansion into the Gamma Quadrant.

Kevran served in various capacities over the next three years. Ambassador, cultural liaison, anthropologist, botanist, and at times, documentarian. His knowledge and abilities made him uniquely qualified in assisting as best he could the expansion efforts of the Federation.

For the past few years, he has been serving between the Alpha and Gamma quadrants as a scientist and researcher.

It was only recently, his presence was requested aboard a Starfleet vessel operating in the Gamma Quadrant.
