New Beginnings

This mission has gotten off to a rocky start. In my years of Starfleet, I've seen a lot of hard times, but if there's one thing we Hebrons have learned, it's that the struggle of adversity is but a platform to victory. I've failed in so many ways--not anticipating the ship's sabotage, not discerning the traitor within my own department, not responding with the haste the situation required. But, try, try again. What choice do we have? After a modicum of effort, I have managed to connect with a few members of the crew on a more than perfunctory social level, some of whom may be able to aid me in future endeavors.

This brings me to another decision: I am initiating the Mark 4 trials of Project Golem. If I succeed where I failed before, then I may find the added perk of security in addition to the original meager goal of an interactive database. I will of course have to inform the captain before I can take any significant measures.
