CMO's Log SD 65608.74

Posted on Sat Dec 10th, 2016 @ 10:50pm by Lieutenant Commander Cara O'Reilly MD

I am really proud of how well everyone held things together during my absence. It doesn't surprise me considering I have an exceptional staff here. Dr. Dunn is as good as a right hand could be. Three times I have offered her the ACMO slot but she continues to turn it down. She has the skills. Hell...she ran this place before I got here. And she has the energy level. The staff respects her but she just lacks the confidence. I'm hoping that changes because she is a Godsend. So is Mac. She snaps her fingers and the nursing and support staff jump without question. She knows what I need before I know I need it. Sometimes....no...most of the time I feel she could run this place better than I could. Better than most Doctors. She's an amazing nurse. And an amazing person. And after 30 years...she has some stories to tell.

Chief Petty Officer Tookl exemplified the EFTS program while we were on the Sarek. They haven't implemented it yet so he was somewhat of an enigma at first then he became a bit of a celebrity to them. He said their medical staff were full of questions about his function on Vindex.

Now that we are on our way to Starbase Unity everyone is on alert...even though our status is still green. I have activated the EFTS teams so that they will be ready just in case. I have no idea what to expect in this quadrant. I'd rather be ahead of the game than behind it.
