Captain's Log - Stardate 65767.3

It's been a tough week to say the absolute least but I'm finally glad to be back on the Vindex and helping to clear up the mess that Saalkan and his cronies left us in. Sadly the final death count including the sad death of Lieutenant Wilson reached 431 personnel - we've already had a steady influx of new crewmembers as well as appointing a few new department heads to replace those who have either left or were killed in action.

I'm really excited about my upcoming wedding to Rebecca - we've got so much to plan but so little time to arrange it in. We've managed to secure the Bajoran Temple but the only slot they have available is in three days' time - we haven't even arranged the reception although I suspect I'll be dropping into Quark's later today or tomorrow to make a booking and arrange the catering with Paul. At least we've got a lot of people willing to help us out though which is more than we could ever dream of - that's something we can never be grateful enough for and hope they enjoy sharing our special day with us just as much as we do.

Commodore Hutchinson has scheduled our departure for October 10th which is plenty of time to get some R&R as well as for the repair teams and our own engineers to complete the necessary repairs to get us back underway. They're currently on schedule so fingers crossed it stays that way.
