Ops Chief Personal Log #1 - Day 1

Posted on Sun Jun 19th, 2016 @ 4:43am by Commander Akiva ben-Avram

I have arrived, and there is not much to tell. Of course I had to calibrate the transporter system as soon as I came aboard, but the operator himself seems competent enough. I've yet to form an opinion about the command staff.
There's plenty to do now -- systems diagnostics, manual override testing, and then figuring out the fastest way to lockout consoles and localized systems during an Intruder Alert. And that's before I assess my department staff. At least it's my call now as Chief of Ops. If only I could optimize people in the same way.
Not many people know about my home. I miss it, but it is no longer home. Not until I can convince the Federation there is more to Hebron than cultural eccentricity and fringe course studies like the one Abba teaches. I wish I could make him understand...

Why am I talking about the past? Heh. I don't see a ship counselor in the manifest. Hopefully that means I won't have to justify my high standards to somebody who wants to label me with PTSD for Omri's death. That was a long time ago, and there's always work to do....

Computer, delete -- no, belay that.

End log.
